Questions about this service
How long does the oil take to cure before we can use the table?
The surface is touch dry within 8 hours and ready for light use after 24 hours. Full cure takes 7 days, so keep damp mats off the table during that week.
Can you remove dark water rings from oak tables?
Yes. We treat dark tannin stains with oxalic acid before sanding to lift the grey cast without bleaching the surrounding timber.
Do you take the table away to your workshop?
Most dining tables are finished in your room. We only take tables to the workshop if the base needs extensive joinery rebuilds.
Why Choose Our Workshop
Done inside your home
We work on site using dust-extraction equipment, so your table does not need transport.
Food-safe oil finish
The cured finish resists spills from red wine, hot water and grease.
Easy local repairs later
Scratches can be spot-oiled in future without re-sanding the whole table.

What Customers Report
Our Victorian walnut table had two split leaves and loose legs. Arthur picked it up, re-glued the runners, and oiled the top. The table sits level on our floorboards and holds six people easily.
Julian M., Islington, London, GBThe beech dining chairs had wobbled for three years. They dismantled every joint, cleaned the old glue out, and clamped them tight. Solid as iron now. Payment was simple via bank transfer after inspection.
Claire T., Camden, London, GBRemoved dark water rings from a Danish teak credenza without taking away the original color. One drawer needed realigning afterwards, which they sorted on the spot.
Marcus B., Hackney, London, GBHave a Broken or Marked Piece of Furniture?
